The CamelBak Thrive Flip Straw Kids is a 350 ml (12 oz) water bottle for children, built from the same double-wall vacuum-insulated stainless steel as CamelBak’s full-size Thrive bottles. Flip the straw up, bite and sip; flip it down and the lid seals, so it can go into a school bag, a bike basket or the car without soaking everything around it.
In the UAE the insulation is the point. A single-wall bottle warms up fast in a Dubai summer, in a school bag or a parked car. Filled with cold water and ice, this one keeps it ice cold for hours — that is CamelBak’s own wording. CamelBak does not publish an exact number of hours, so we don’t either.
What makes it work
Flip, bite, sip
The straw flips up and your child bites the soft valve to drink, so water only flows when they want it to.
Leakproof when closed
Flip the straw down and the lid is leakproof. Open, it is spill-proof — a knocked-over bottle doesn’t empty itself on the table.
Carry handle
A comfortable carry handle on the lid, sized for small hands, for the walk from the car to the classroom.
Vacuum-insulated steel
Type 304 stainless steel with a vacuum between the walls keeps cold water cold for hours. The whole bottle is dishwasher safe, according to CamelBak.

How long does it keep water cold?
