Valve Caps
Tubeless valves and valve caps
Most of what sits in this category is tubeless valves rather than decoration — the stems that let a tubeless setup hold air and take sealant. There are a few finishing pieces too, if you like your bike to look sorted.
Getting the length right
Valve length is the thing people get wrong. The stem has to clear the rim with enough thread left over for a pump head, so a deep-section wheel needs a longer valve than a shallow box-section rim.
We stock Stan’s Tubeless Exo-core valves sized by rim depth — under 20mm, 17–26mm, 27–36mm, and an extra tall option — and Stan’s Tubeless Universal+ in 27–36mm and 37–46mm. Measure the depth of your rim, then pick the range it falls in. If you are not sure, tell us the wheel and we will tell you which one you need.
The finishing touches
Supacaz Valve Capz and Star Valvez come in colours and include grommets, and Valve Extenderz add length to a valve that is fractionally too short for a deep rim.
Questions we get asked
How do I know what length valve I need?
Measure the depth of the rim, then add enough for the pump head to grip — roughly 15–20mm clear of the rim is a comfortable margin. Stan’s size theirs by rim depth range, so the choice is usually straightforward once you have measured.
Do I need sealant as well?
If you are running tubeless, yes. Stan’s tyre sealant lives in our cleaners and lubricants range, and it dries out faster in this climate than the label suggests, so check it more often than you would in Europe.
Can you set my wheels up tubeless?
We can. Bring the bike to the workshop, or we can collect it from your home or work in Dubai — see bike servicing and repairs.
