The BMC Kaius 01 TWO is BMC’s race gravel bike in its second generation: a 01 Premium Carbon frame reworked in BMC’s Impec Lab, a wireless SRAM Force XPLR AXS 1×13 groupset with the power meter already in the crank, the one-piece ICS Carbon Aero Gen 2 cockpit and BMC’s own CG 39 carbon tubeless wheels. BMC quotes a 7% aerodynamic improvement at 40 km/h for the new frame and clearance for 52 mm tyres.

It is built to go fast on loose ground: gravel races, long desert loops and mixed-surface days where the tarmac runs out. The Gen 2 geometry is sharper at the front and calmer at speed, and the carbon layup is tuned to BMC’s TCC Race compliance level so the bike stays composed over washboard and broken tracks. Aerocore bottle cages and a computer mount for Garmin, Wahoo and GoPro come in the box.

Compliance and Aerocore

Optimised carbon layup, wider tyres and a slacker head angle give the right balance of stiffness and comfort. The Aerocore bottle cages sit tight to the frame to keep it aerodynamic.

Who it is for

Riders who race gravel, or ride it like a race: UAE gravel events, fast dawn loops on the desert tracks around Al Qudra and Al Marmoom, and long mixed-surface days in the Hatta and Ras Al Khaimah mountains. Power data is built in, so training by watts needs nothing extra. If you want a relaxed, upright touring position, an endurance gravel bike will suit you better — the Kaius puts you in a race position.

Questions riders ask

What is the difference between the Copper Grey and the Off-White bike?

Copper Grey is the 2027 Kaius 01 TWO on the new Gen 2 frame: 52 mm tyre clearance, 45 mm Continental tyres, the Gen 2 cockpit, an aero seatpost and a T47 bottom bracket. Off-White is the 2026 model on the first-generation frame, with 44 mm clearance and 40 mm Pirelli tyres. Both share the SRAM Force XPLR AXS 1×13 groupset, the power meter and the CG 39 carbon wheels. The comparison table above lists every difference.

Which size do I need?

Start with BMC’s rider heights in the sizing table. If you sit between two sizes, compare reach and stack with a bike you already ride well: the smaller size is lower and shorter, the larger one longer and taller. Send us your height and inseam and we will help you choose.

Does it come with a power meter?

Yes. The SRAM Force XPLR AXS power meter is built into the crank (single side), so power data is ready from the first ride with no extra purchase.

How wide can the tyres go?

The Copper Grey Gen 2 frame takes up to 52 mm measured tyres and ships on 45 mm Continental Terra Competition. The Off-White 2026 frame takes up to 44 mm and ships on 40 mm Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H.

Is it tubeless?

Yes. BMC specifies tubeless rims and tubeless tyres on both model years.

What is in the box, and are pedals included?

Aerocore bottle cages and a computer mount (Garmin, Wahoo and GoPro on the 2027 bike; Garmin and Wahoo on the 2026 bike). Pedals are not listed by BMC, and the published 7.8 kg is weighed without pedals, so plan to fit your own.

Is there a rider weight limit?

BMC gives a system weight limit of 120 kg (rider, bike and luggage together) and rates the Kaius at ASTM Level 2.
