Shimano 105 is a reliable choice and, thanks to the use of trickle-down technology, there’s a minimal performance difference between this groupset and the level above. The 11-32 tooth cassette provides plenty of range for both spinning up hills and enjoying the descents, and the inclusion of hydraulic disc brakes means stopping is powerful and reliable no matter the weather.
