Eva is a cargo bib short — the pair you reach for when the ride is long enough that jersey pockets are not enough. It sits in Café du Cycliste’s Outlands line, the adventure range rather than the race one, and it is built around strategic zipped and mesh pockets that carry a phone, a wallet, a tube and a ride’s worth of food on your legs instead of your back.

Underneath the carrying, this is a serious bib: a top-tier Elastic Interface® chamois, compressive stretch fabric, and a lightweight bib section with a ventilated mesh back panel. Café du Cycliste’s own line for it is “sunrise to sunset — or the other way around”.

Pockets on your legs

Zipped and mesh cargo pockets sit on the thigh and hip, where weight is carried low and does not swing. Everything stays reachable while you are riding, and nothing pulls on your shoulders.

A zip for the valuables

The zipped pocket is the one for a phone, cards and keys — closed, protected and not going anywhere on a rough descent. The open mesh pockets take the things you want out fast.

Ventilated mesh back

The bib section is deliberately light, with a full mesh back panel. On a long hot day that is the difference between a bib you forget about and one you are counting down to taking off.

Who it is for

Café du Cycliste do not list this one for road racing at all. Their own usage marks are long distance, gravel, MTB and bikepacking — and that is exactly right:

• All-day desert loops — Al Qudra and Al Marmoom, where you are carrying more food and water than a jersey can hold.
• Gravel — loaded jersey pockets bounce on rough ground; weight on the thigh does not.
• Bikepacking — keeps phone, cards and keys on your body when the bike is parked.
• Long solo rides — a zipped pocket you can actually trust with a phone at 40 km/h.

Rated from 17°C upward with no top limit marked, so it works right through a Gulf summer as well as a European one.

Fit and sizing

This is a Performance fit — high-stretch fabric cut close to the body, second skin rather than relaxed. Cargo bibs need to be snug: a loose leg lets a loaded pocket swing. Café du Cycliste sizing runs small against everyday clothing, so if you are between sizes or new to the brand, message us on WhatsApp with your waist measurement and usual bib size and we will confirm before you order.
