Mountain Bikes

Mountain bikes in Dubai and the UAE

Mountain biking here usually means Hatta’s trails in the Hajar Mountains, ridden in the cooler months and early in the morning. We stock mountain bikes from Polygon and BMC, from hardtails for your first trail rides to full-suspension bikes for rougher, steeper ground.

Hardtail or full suspension?

A hardtail has suspension at the front only. It is lighter, simpler and cheaper to keep running, and a good place to start. A full-suspension bike adds a rear shock, which keeps the back wheel in contact over rocks and makes long, rough descents more comfortable. Tell us where and how you ride and we will help you choose.

Where to ride

Hatta is where most mountain bikers in the UAE start. Our Hatta mountain bike trails guide covers the trail grades, the terrain, water and the best time of year to go.

Getting the size right

Frame size changes how a bike climbs and handles, and size charts differ between brands, so height alone is not enough. Come and sit on a couple at our Dubai showroom on Umm Suqeim Street. We will get you close, then fine-tune the saddle and cockpit.

Servicing after desert and mountain riding

Sand wears out chains and drivetrains, and rocky descents at Hatta eat brake pads and cut tyres. Check your pads and tyres before every trip, and book a bike service when the bike needs more. We can collect it from your home in Dubai.

Questions we get asked

Can I ride a mountain bike on the road? Yes. It will be slower than a road bike, but it is comfortable and tough, and fine for everyday rides.

Do you have mountain bikes for kids? Yes, see our kids mountain bikes.

Do you deliver? Yes, free across the UAE on orders over AED 150, and every bike leaves us fully built.
