The BMC Teammachine R 01 THREE is a pure race bike: an 01 Premium Carbon aero frameset developed with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, built up with SRAM Force AXS including a power meter and CR 50 SL carbon wheels. 7.5 kg, ready to pin a number on.

The Teammachine R 01 is the bike BMC built when speed was the only thing on the brief. It shares its development — and its Red Bull Advanced Technologies collaboration — with the flagship models, and the THREE gets the same frameset and the same aerodynamics as the bikes at the top of the range. The 01 Premium Carbon layup keeps it light and brutally efficient, stiff exactly where a racer puts power through it. What changes further up the range is the parts, not the platform.

On this build that means the latest SRAM Force AXS, wireless and 2×12, with a power meter fitted as standard rather than as an upgrade. The low-stack ICS Carbon Aero Gen 2 one-piece cockpit and the CR 50 SL carbon tubeless wheels work as one system with the frame, and the ultra-wide Halo fork keeps the air coming off the front wheel away from the rest of the bike. It is a fast bike everywhere — not just in a straight line.

What makes it fast

Halo fork

BMC pushed the fork legs wider than anything else in the peloton. The Halo fork shutters the turbulent air thrown off the front wheel away from the frame, kills aero stall and turns it into clean, usable speed.

ICS Carbon Aero cockpit, Gen 2

Developed with the Tudor Pro Cycling Team: stiffer, more aerodynamic, more tunable and easier to live with. Every cable and hose runs inside it — out of the wind and out of sight.

The Mariana bottom bracket

BMC’s deepest road bottom bracket, named after the trench. The extra surface area is what cleans up the airflow through the middle of the bike, and it is UCI approved.

All-Aero seatpost

Slimmer, deeper, more compliant and lighter than before, with a clamp mechanism you can actually reach. It also takes an integrated number-plate holder — the detail that gives away what this bike is built for.

Sizes

Frequently asked questions

Is the power meter really included?
Yes. The SRAM Force AXS single-sided power meter is part of the crankset on this build, not an accessory. On most bikes at this price it is an upgrade you pay for separately.

How is this different from the Teammachine SLR?
Two different jobs. The Teammachine R is BMC’s aero race platform — Halo fork, deep Mariana bottom bracket, all-aero seatpost, built to hold high speed. The Teammachine SLR is the lightweight climbing platform. If your racing is flat and fast, or you want one bike that is quick everywhere, the R is the one.

Can I fit wider tyres?
It comes on 28 mm Pirelli P Zero Race TLR tubeless, and the frame clears up to a 30 mm measured tyre — enough for rougher UAE road surfaces without giving up the aerodynamics.

What size should I take?
Sizing a race bike from a chart is a bad idea at this price. Tell us your height, inseam and what you currently ride, or come to Al Quoz and we will size you properly on the 51, 54 and 56 we have here.
