The Shimano 105 FC-R7100 is the 12-speed road crankset from Shimano’s 105 R7100 group, here with 50-34T compact chainrings and 175 mm crank arms. The hollow aluminium arms are finished in gloss black anodising, and resin ribs on the back of the chainrings cut weight while keeping shifts crisp.
50-34 is the easier-climbing option: the 34T inner ring makes long drags like Jebel Hafeet or Jebel Jais far more manageable, while 50T still gives plenty of speed on Al Qudra. It works with both 105 Di2 and mechanical 105.
Check these before you order
- Bottom bracket not included. It needs a Shimano Hollowtech II road bottom bracket for a 24 mm axle — threaded (68 / 70 mm shells) or press-fit, to suit your frame.
- 12-speed only — use a 12-speed HG chain and a 12-speed 105 front derailleur (FD-R7100 mechanical or FD-R7150 Di2).
- Crank length: 175 mm — longer than the common 170 / 172.5 mm. Match your current cranks unless a bike fitter advises otherwise.
