The Vinciane is Café du Cycliste’s Superlight men’s jersey — a fully featured race jersey stripped back to the essentials. It is cut close, has no collar and a low-profile silhouette, and the whole garment weighs about 170 grams.

What makes it worth knowing about in this part of the world is the fabric. The main body has an internal waffle structure that lifts the cloth off the skin to wick and dry faster, and it carries a rated UPF 30 sun protection. An internal waffle structure holds the fabric slightly off the skin so sweat wicks and dries faster, and the cloth is rated UPF 30 — real sun protection on the shoulders and arms, not just a thin layer.

No collar, low profile

There is no collar at all. Nothing to rub, nothing to trap heat at the neck, and nothing sitting above a jersey line when you are in the drops.

Three rear pockets

A full, conventional three-pocket back — this is a light jersey, not a stripped-out one. A gripper hem keeps it from riding up.

Is it light enough for a UAE summer?

It is one of the lightest jerseys Café du Cycliste make — about 170 grams — and it is rated from 20°C to over 30°C. The waffle-structured fabric is the key part: it holds the cloth slightly off the skin so air moves underneath and sweat evaporates instead of sitting against you.

What does UPF 30 actually mean?

The fabric itself blocks roughly 97% of UV, and unlike sunscreen it does not sweat off or need reapplying. On a long exposed ride it protects everything the jersey covers — shoulders, back and upper arms.

Does a lighter jersey mean fewer pockets?

No. It has the full three-pocket back, so a phone, tube, tool and food all go where you expect. The weight saving comes from the fabric and the collarless construction, not from removing features.

Why is there no collar?

A collar is the first thing to rub and the first place heat gets trapped. Removing it keeps the neckline flat and cool, and it sits lower so it does not show above a jersey line.

How should it fit?

Snug. It is a Race-line performance fit, cut close for efficiency. Use the chest measurement in the size guide above rather than your usual t-shirt size — Café du Cycliste run closer than high-street sizing.

Is there a women’s version?

How do I wash it?

Machine wash at 30°C, ideally inside out in a laundry bag, and dry flat. Do not tumble dry, iron, bleach or dry clean — heat destroys elastane and the waffle structure.
