The Shimano 105 FC-R7100 is the 2 × 12-speed crankset of Shimano’s 105 R7100 groupset. Shimano gives it newly designed hollow aluminium crank arms in a gloss black anodised finish, with resin ribs on the back of the chainrings that cut weight while keeping front shifts crisp. The Hollowtech II construction balances stiffness, strength, weight and rotational performance.
This is the 52-36T version with 172.5 mm crank arms (Shimano code IFCR7100DX26). 52-36T is the taller of Shimano’s two 105 gear options, suited to fast, flat roads like the loops at Al Qudra; the 50-34T version gives lighter gears for climbs such as Jebel Hafeet. It works with both 105 Di2 (R7150) and mechanical 105 (R7120) 12-speed groups.

- Bottom bracket not included. You need a Shimano 24 mm Hollowtech II bottom bracket for your frame, threaded (for example the BB-RS500, 68 mm) or press-fit (for example the SM-BB72-41B).
- 12-speed only. Made for 105 R7100 groups: front derailleurs FD-R7100 (mechanical) or FD-R7150 (Di2), with a Shimano 12-speed chain.
- Size: 172.5 mm crank arms and 52-36T chainrings. Your current crank length is stamped on the inside of the arm. The same crankset with 170 mm arms is also listed.
- About the photos: Shimano’s FC-R7100 product photos show the 50-34T chainrings; the crank arms and finish are the same.

Does it work with mechanical 105, or only Di2?
Both. The FC-R7100 is listed for ST-R7120 (mechanical) and ST-R7170 (Di2) shifters and the FD-R7100 and FD-R7150 front derailleurs.
Is a bottom bracket included?
No. Fit a Shimano 24 mm Hollowtech II bottom bracket that suits your frame: threaded BSA 68 mm, such as the BB-RS500 or SM-BBR60, or press-fit 86.5 mm, such as the SM-BB72-41B.
Which crank length should I choose?
Most riders keep the length they already ride; it is stamped on the inside of the crank arm. This listing is 172.5 mm. Shimano makes the FC-R7100 in 160, 165, 170, 172.5 and 175 mm.
52-36T or 50-34T?
52-36T gives taller gears for speed on flat roads. 50-34T gives lighter gears for climbing. Shimano offers both on the FC-R7100.
Can I replace the chainrings later?
Yes. Shimano FC-R7100 replacement chainrings are sold separately; we stock the 52T and 36T.
