The Farsports UFO Unibody Full Disc is the Super Light rear disc wheel in Farsports’ UFO range: fully hollow carbon, CeramicSpeed bearings and a claimed 860 g. The Farsports UFO Unibody Full Disc is the Super Light version of Farsports’ UFO full disc rear wheel: a fully hollow carbon disc on Farsports’ own FAR hub, running on CeramicSpeed bearings, with a claimed weight of 860 g. Farsports designs the UFO series for maximum aero performance and calls the full disc perfect for time trials and triathlon races.
On the long, flat and exposed roads where riders race the clock here, from the Al Qudra cycle track to Nad Al Sheba and the Yas Marina Circuit, speed is mostly a fight against the air. A rear disc takes the spokes out of that fight, and because it sits at the back it has far less effect on steering in a crosswind than a deep front wheel would.
Check these three things before you order
- Disc brakes only: the hub takes a Center Lock rotor. It is not for rim-brake bikes.
- 12 × 142 mm thru-axle: the standard rear axle on disc-brake road, TT and triathlon frames. Not for quick-release frames.

What makes it fast
No spokes, just a hollow carbon disc
A full disc replaces the spokes entirely, so nothing churns the air as the wheel turns. The UFO disc is fully hollow carbon, which is how Farsports keeps it this light.
Tubeless-ready, hooked rim
A hooked, tubeless-ready rim, 22 mm wide inside and 28 mm outside. Run tubeless tyres with sealant, or clinchers with an inner tube.
FAR hub, Center Lock, CeramicSpeed
Farsports’ in-house hub with a ratchet freehub system and a Center Lock rotor mount. The Unibody version runs on CeramicSpeed bearings.

Setting it up
Fit a Center Lock rotor and a cassette that matches the freehub body. For tubeless, seat a tubeless tyre and add sealant (we stock Stan’s Original Tubeless Sealant); or fit a clincher tyre with an inner tube. Try the set-up at home before race day, and if you would rather we set it up for you, just ask.

Farsports does not publish a recommended tyre width or pressure range for the UFO disc, the valve length it needs, or UCI approval, so they are not listed here.
FAQ
Will it fit my bike?
It fits disc-brake frames with a 12 × 142 mm rear thru-axle and a Center Lock rotor. It is not for rim-brake or quick-release frames. If you are not sure, send us your frame model and we will check.
Does it come with a Shimano or a SRAM freehub?
Farsports builds the UFO disc with either a Shimano HG road body (11-speed, 12-speed compatible) or a SRAM XDR body. Message us before you order and we will confirm which body this wheel has.
How is the Unibody different from the standard UFO Full Disc?
Farsports lists three UFO full discs: the standard version (890 g), the Retro finish (920 g) and the Unibody (860 g), which is the one with CeramicSpeed bearings. All three share the 28 mm / 22 mm rim, the FAR hub and the Center Lock disc brake mount. This Super Light wheel is the Unibody.
Tubeless or inner tubes?
Both. The rim is tubeless-ready with a hooked profile, so it takes tubeless tyres with sealant or clincher tyres with inner tubes.
Can I race on it?
Full disc rear wheels are a normal sight in time trials and triathlon. Farsports does not state UCI approval for the UFO disc, so if you race under UCI rules, or in an event with its own equipment rules, check them before race day.
