Farsports Carbon Thru Axle Kit (TA01): lightweight Toray T700/T800 carbon thru axles with a replaceable threaded end. The kit includes 10 M12 thread ends (1.0, 1.5 and 1.75 pitch), washers and the tools to swap them, so the axles can move with you to your next bike.
Farsports Carbon Thru Axle Kit (TA01) swaps the heavy steel or alloy thru axles most bikes come with for lightweight carbon ones. The axles are made from Toray T700/T800 high-modulus carbon with a triangular cross-section, which Farsports uses for extra tensile strength and a high stiffness-to-weight ratio, and Farsports quotes a weight of just 24 g.
The clever part is the replaceable threaded end. The kit comes with 10 different M12 ends, washers and the tools to change them, so the same axles can fit different frames — and move with you to your next bike instead of staying with the old one. A neat finishing touch for a set of Farsports carbon wheels.
Triangular carbon section
Toray T700/T800 high-modulus carbon, shaped with a triangular cross-section for tensile strength and stiffness at a very low weight.
10 threaded ends
M12 × 1.0, × 1.5 and × 1.75 ends in 13 to 20 mm lengths, plus conical and flat washers, to suit the thread and fit of your frame.
Tools in the box
A ratchet wrench with a T15 bit and a T15 long bit — everything you need to change the ends at home.
Choosing the right end
- Find your frame’s thread. It is often printed on your current axle (for example M12 × 1.5) or listed in your frame or fork manual.
- Fit the matching threaded end to the carbon axle with the ratchet wrench and T15 bit.
- Use the supplied washers where your frame needs them — Farsports includes them so the axles suit different frames.

Check the fit before you order
Farsports doesn’t publish the axle lengths or a tightening torque for this kit. Send us your frame and fork model, or the length of your current axles, and we will confirm the fit first. When you fit them, follow the thru-axle torque in your frame or fork manual and don’t overtighten.

Questions riders ask
Will it fit my bike?
It is made for 12 mm thru-axle frames and forks with an M12 × 1.0, × 1.5 or × 1.75 thread. Farsports doesn’t publish the axle lengths, so send us your frame and fork model (or the length of your current axles) and we will confirm before you order.
Which threaded end do I need?
The one that matches your frame’s thread pitch and length. The pitch is often printed on your current axle. The kit covers 1.0, 1.5 and 1.75 mm pitches, each in several lengths.
Is 24 g the weight of one axle?
Farsports quotes 24 g, and its Australian dealers list that as the weight of one axle.
Can I move the axles to another bike?
Yes — that is what the replaceable ends are for. Fit the end that matches the new frame, and check that the axle length suits the new bike too.
Do I need special tools?
No. The ratchet wrench, a T15 bit and a T15 long bit are all in the box.
