Shimano GRX FC-RX820-2 Hollowtech II gravel crankset, 2 × 12-speed, 48-31T, 170 mm (IFCRX8202CX81).
- 17T range between rings for mixed terrain
- 110 / 80 mm asymmetric BCD, 24 mm axle
- Bottom bracket not included
The Shimano GRX FC-RX820-2 is the 2 × 12-speed Hollowtech II crankset from Shimano’s GRX gravel group, with 48-31T chainrings and 170 mm arms.
The 17-tooth gap between the rings gives you a properly low gear for loose climbs and soft sandy tracks, while 48T still pulls well on tarmac — a good match for mixed rides out past Al Qudra or up into the Hajar mountains.
Check these before you order
- 12-speed only. Use a 12-speed HG chain and the GRX 12-speed front derailleur FD-RX820.
- Bottom bracket not included. Fits 68 / 70 mm threaded shells with a Shimano Hollowtech II 24 mm bottom bracket, or press-fit with the matching Shimano press-fit BB.
- Chainline and Q-factor figures differ between the sources we checked, so we have left them off — ask us if your frame is tight on clearance.
Who it is for
- Gravel riders who want lower gears for loose and sandy terrain
- Upgrading a gravel bike to Shimano GRX 12-speed
- Adventure and bikepacking set-ups
