The SHIMANO Dura-Ace Di2 R9180 levers are designed for time trial and triathlon bikes to make braking and shifting on a time trial handlebar as intuitive, effort-saving and aerodynamic as possible. They are compatible with both 11-speed and 12-speed drivetrains from SHIMANO’s Di2 electronic shifting groups and offer convincing solutions for cable routing in the complex cockpits of time trial bikes. The slim, grippy design with shortened profile improves aerodynamics with optimal ergonomics and operability. The single key operation in combination with Synchro-Shift allows combined shifting of the rear and front derailleur, so that you can fully concentrate on the race. Additional remote triathlon switches can be easily integrated into the system.
The brake unit also impresses with a high-end, race-oriented performance that lets you retain full control over your bike in every situation. The brake levers can be optimally adjusted to your grip position with the lever reach adjustment and ensure precise modulation of the hydraulic brakes with only little effort. The Dura-Ace BR-R9270 brake cylinder is milled from a single block in monobody construction and ensures an optimal weight to stiffness ratio. A bleed screw that is separate from the bleed port makes bleeding easier. Moreover, the improved brake calliper design promises more clearance for the brake pads, which reduces noise levels and facilitates correct alignment. The J-Kit comes pre-filled and, thanks to the pre-installed olive, allows for easy cutting of the cables as well as cable routing inside the frame, too. Additional bleeding is therefore generally unnecessary.
