The Shimano 105 PD-R7000 is an SPD-SL road pedal with a carbon-composite body, an extra-wide platform for efficient power transfer and a stainless steel body plate that reduces flex and wear. Sealed cartridge axles keep maintenance low, and the pair weighs 265 g.
It is a dependable pedal for everyday road riding in the UAE, from early laps of Al Qudra and Hudayriyat to the climb up Jebel Hafeet, and it arrives ready to fit: pedals and cleats are in the box.

What makes it work
Extra-wide platform
A wide carbon-composite body spreads pedalling load across the sole, and the stainless steel plate reduces flex and pedal-body wear.
Adjustable entry and release
Set how easily you clip in and out with the tension screw at the back of each pedal: a 2.5 mm hex key, four clicks per turn. Set both pedals the same.
SM-SH11 yellow cleats
6° of float (3° each way) lets the heel move naturally, a forgiving set-up for new riders and anyone prone to knee pain. 13° release angle.
Which cleats can I use?
The PD-R7000 takes Shimano SPD-SL cleats. The yellow SM-SH11 (6° float) come in the box. For a fixed position, choose the red SM-SH10 (0° float); the blue SM-SH12 gives 2° of float pivoting at the front. Spare yellow SM-SH11 cleats are also available.
Care
Cleats wear with walking and riding. Shimano’s guide: replace the cleats when the black layer under the coloured front tip shows through, or if clipping in and out starts to feel too tight or too loose.

- Road riders moving to clipless pedals for the first time: the yellow cleats are the forgiving choice.
- Riders upgrading from entry-level pedals who want a lighter, stiffer carbon body.

Are they sold as a pair?
Yes. You get a left and a right pedal; Shimano’s 265 g weight is for the pair.
Do they come with cleats?
Yes: a pair of yellow SM-SH11 SPD-SL cleats (6° float) with mounting hardware. Spare SM-SH11, red SM-SH10 and blue SM-SH12 cleats are sold separately.
Will they work with my shoes?
They need road shoes with the 3-bolt cleat pattern. They do not take 2-bolt SPD (mountain bike) cleats.
How do I make clipping out easier?
Turn the tension screw at the back of each pedal anticlockwise with a 2.5 mm hex key (four clicks per turn) and set both pedals the same. Do not go past the minimum or maximum mark.
When should I replace the cleats?
When the black layer under the coloured front tip becomes visible, or if the cleat starts releasing too easily or feels too tight.
