With its introduction in the 1980s, the Deore XT series revolutionized mountain biking. And its current iteration more than lives up to this legacy. Predictable Power From The First Pull. The Deore XT brake levers of the M8200 series are not only characterized by powerful and reliable deceleration performance, but also impress with ergonomics that are perfectly tailored to the hand. This is primarily due to the ERGO FLOW concept, which features a slightly upwardly curved brake lever blade and an optimized, narrower pivot point that follows the natural curve of the finger. The result combines a powerful pull with a smooth lever feel for precise modulation and ultimate control.

The SERVOWAVE technology, which manages the friction between the brake pads and the brake disc during the entire braking phase, offers an optimized performance curve and a correspondingly more balanced braking performance. In addition, the entire braking system benefits from the mineral oil introduced with the XTR M9200 series, which features a lower viscosity compared to the previous version to keep braking performance constant over a wider temperature range. While the aluminum lever blade is designed for durability, the revised adjustment dial makes it easier to set the reach. The I-Spec EV interface not only ensures a simple connection with the shift lever, but also a tidier cockpit.
