Fovno suction bike racks — no roof bars, no towbar
Most bike racks assume something your car probably does not have: factory roof rails, a fitted crossbar set, or a towbar. Fovno racks skip all of that. They mount straight onto the roof with heavy-duty suction cups, and they come off again in a couple of minutes when you are done.
That is why they suit the cars people actually drive here — a saloon with a bare roof, a rental, a company car you are not about to drill holes in.
How a suction rack works
The cups pull down onto clean, flat paintwork and hold with vacuum pressure, not clamps. The bike sits above them: front wheel out, fork or axle locked into the mount, rear wheel strapped down. Nothing touches the frame, so there is no clamp mark on a carbon top tube.
Two things matter and neither is complicated. The roof needs to be clean where the cups sit — sand and dust are what break the seal, so wipe it first. And the cups want re-checking before you set off and again at the first stop, exactly as you would re-torque anything that carries a bike at speed.
What we stock
The single-bike Sucker Roof Rack is the one most people want — one bike, on the roof, off again after the ride. The two-bike version does the same job for a pair, which is usually the answer for couples and anyone doing the weekend Al Qudra run with a mate.
The Sucker Crossbars Rack is the option if you would rather run a crossbar setup on the suction base.
We also keep rack axle adaptors, because thru-axle standards vary between bikes and the mount has to match yours. Sizes move in and out of stock, so if you are not certain which one your fork takes, ask us before ordering rather than guessing.
Will it fit my car?
Almost certainly, if the roof is metal, flat where the cups land, and in decent paint. Panoramic glass roofs and heavily curved roofs are the usual exceptions, and a soft-top is a no.
If you are unsure, message us with the car and the bike and we will tell you straight. We would rather talk you out of the wrong rack than sell you one that does not suit the car.
Questions we get asked
Is a suction rack actually safe at motorway speed?
Yes, within the rack’s own limits — and those limits are about installation, not luck. Clean paint, cups seated properly, a check before you drive and another at your first stop. Fitted carelessly, no rack of any type is safe.
Will it mark the paint?
Not if the roof is clean when you fit it. Grit trapped under a cup is what scuffs paint, which is the real reason to wipe the roof first rather than any fault of the rack.
Is this a boot or towbar carrier?
No — these are roof mounts. If you specifically need a boot-mounted or towbar carrier, tell us what you drive and we will point you at the right thing rather than sell you the wrong one.
Can I take it off between rides?
That is the point of it. It lifts off and stores in a cupboard, which is why it suits people who do not want a permanent rack on the car all year.
Do you deliver?
Yes — free delivery across the UAE on orders over AED 150. You are also welcome to collect from the showroom on Umm Suqeim St.
