The FastTT 1x Aero Chain Guide replaces your bulky front derailleur with a slim, aero-optimised guide, turning a 2x crankset into a 1x set-up. FastTT says it improves airflow around the derailleur area to minimise drag and save a few watts, and it prevents those annoying accidental shifts onto the small ring.
It suits round chainrings from 50 to 62 teeth and oval rings from 50 to 58 teeth, with 24 mm of up and down adjustment to set it for your big ring. A clean option for a TT or triathlon bike that spends its time on flat, fast roads such as the Al Qudra cycle track.
Check these before you order
- 2-ring cranksets only: FastTT makes it for cranksets with two chainrings.
- Big ring size: round rings 50–62T, oval rings 50–58T.
- Mounting: in FastTT’s photos it fits at the front derailleur mount with the frame bracket supplied. FastTT does not say whether it suits clamp-on (band) derailleur mounts, so send us a photo of your bike if yours has one.
- One chainring: with no front derailleur you ride on a single ring, so make sure your cassette gives you the range you need.

24 mm of adjustment
12 mm on the guide plus 12 mm on the frame bracket, so it can be set for chainrings from 50T up to 62T.

Fitting

How does it mount?

Will it stop my chain dropping?
FastTT says it prevents accidental shifts onto the small ring. It does not make any further chain-retention claim.
What is it made of?
