The Shimano SH-RX801, Shimano’s RX8, is an ultralight, breathable gravel racing shoe for adventures on all terrain. Shimano gives it a stiff, lightweight carbon composite sole for better power transfer through the pedal stroke, a BOA® Li2 dial that sets a secure fit with no pressure points, and a high-grip, scratch-resistant rubber outsole that makes walking a breeze.
This is the Silver colourway (Shimano code ESHRX801MCS01). Shimano’s DYNALAST shape gives an optimised toe-spring for a smoother upstroke, a built-in heel stabilizer adds control, and a reinforced toe protects against scuffs on rough tracks, from the desert gravel around Al Qudra to the trails at Hatta.

- Measure your foot: stand on a sheet of paper, mark your heel and longest toe, and measure in cm. Shimano’s size chart and measuring guide are in the last photo.
- Half sizes or wide feet: Shimano also makes half sizes and an SH-RX801 Wide. We don’t stock them here; message us and we will check.
- Cleats not included: add Shimano SPD cleats such as the SM-SH51 or SM-SH56.

Which size should I order?
Measure your foot length in cm and use Shimano’s chart: 42 = 26.5 cm, 43 = 27.2 cm, 44 = 27.8 cm, 45 = 28.5 cm, 46 = 29.2 cm, 47 = 29.8 cm, 48 = 30.5 cm. If you are between sizes, message us before you order.
Do they come with cleats?
No. The SH-RX801 takes Shimano SPD (2-bolt) cleats, sold separately: we stock the SM-SH51 and SM-SH56.
Can I walk in them?
Yes. Shimano designed the high-grip, scratch-resistant rubber outsole to make walking off the bike easy.
Do they work with road (SPD-SL) pedals?
No. The sole takes 2-bolt SPD cleats for SPD pedals, not 3-bolt road cleats.
Is there a wide version?
Shimano makes an SH-RX801 Wide. It is not stocked here; message us and we will check availability.
What is the product code?
