When a rare algae is exposed to sunlight it produces beta carotene, releasing a pink colour we often see in vegetables. This is also visible in extremely rare lakes throughout the planet with almost all being located in Western Australia. We pass these lakes on exploration gravel trails, stopping and basking at their beauty.
